Paxton's Grandparents

October 25, 2008

So, we decided to go see my folks after I got off work today. You know, we decided on Paxton's name and of course told my family at the beginning of the week. So, we go see my parents and while we are sitting there eating my dad says, "TJ. Jessi. You have to go to the shop with me when we are finished. I have to show you something." We get done eating and get up from the table and before we even push in the chairs Dad says, "Get your shoes on Jess, and go with me to the shop."
My goodness I knew he had to be excited about something, but just wasn't sure what it was. I know is he working on a car down there, but didn't know what all was going on.

Ok, so we get to the shop and he walks really fast and says "Come here". He turns over this big metal thing that he has been working on and says, "Well, would you look at that." He is working on a '63 Ford Fairlane 500 and you will not believe what he is putting on it..... A PAXTON Supercharger! And, that is what he is adding to it. It was the neatest thing. It had Paxton all over it! You could just see my dad's eyes light up since we are naming our boy that, and TJ's eyes lit up for many other reasons. I tell you, I got pretty teary eyed to see how excited my dad is about his new grandson! I love my family so much!

It was a great afternoon. Mom and Dad were both telling me what a joy having a child will be and what all they are going to do with the little guy. And then dad says, "Well, I had just given up on you having kids" WOW! Didn't expect to hear that. All I've heard for many years was, "Oh you don't need kids, you have a great job." Well, turns out he is REALLY excited about a new grandbaby!

And, the guys took some pics of their cars.... Here is what they came up with:

TJ had to get a good one of Dad's '39 Pontiac at the Pond

Old School vs. New School

1939 Pontiac Coupe vs. 2008 Pontiac G8 GT

All in all... GREAT DAY!
