Baby Story (Continued)

Many things have happened since the last posting... Where did I end last time....

August 12th

Baby Dr. Appt. We met with one of the other docs in the office. She was WAY no fun. We got the crappy machine and everything. We couldn't see a thing, but she said the baby was healthy, so that is what I went with. :)

Weekend of September 6-7

All of a sudden I started sneezing and coughing. STRANGE. It was terrible. I was going to try to hold on... I had an appointment the Tuesday coming up.

September 9

Next Dr. Appt. At 17 weeks. I could hardly talk, I wasn't sleeping, and couldn't rest one bit! It was awful. I was hoping we would get to find out the sex of the baby this time, but the doc says she doesn't do that, she didn't want to give us the wrong baby when we delivered. :) We checked the baby and everything was fine. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. That was AWESOME! Then she checked me and was worried I was developing pneumonia. It was terrible. She was worried it would effect the baby, so I had to take some pretty stout meds and take the week off. I wish it was vacation though. IT WASN'T. I finally got over it, and good thing, the baby is ok too.

September 10

Started a new vitamin to take with the others that I had already been taking. DIDN'T throw up. That was the first day in 13 weeks that I wasn't 'Irping'. It was GREAT!

September 19

I went to the Football game and helped an organization sell tickets. Strangest thing happened.... I stood there for about an hour and all of a sudden I felt really strange. Lost all feeling in my legs, then my arms and chest, and then lost my hearing. I told Lora (one of my coworkers) that I was about to pass out and by the time I got that out of my mouth I couldn't hear. Made it to the car, but sure don't remember driving home. It was strange. It has something to do with my blood sugar. So, I have to eat every hour, almost on the hour, unless I'm sleeping. And if I'm sleeping, when I wake up I better go get something FAST.

September 23

I think I felt the baby move for the first time!

September 24

ANATOMY ULTRASOUND! Ok so TJ and I are off for this appointment and neither of us slept a WINK! So, we are getting ready, and we head to the doctor's office. I sign in at 10:25 as the appointment was at 10:30, or so I thought. We sit in the waiting room and the lady at the front desk calls me up there, and says "I'm sorry ma'am but your appt was at 10. You are going to have to reschedule." I was so upset I couldn't even speak. I had been SO anxious about find out what we were having because TJ admitted he would at least start talking baby stuff since he hadn't thus far. Well, so I argued with the lady for a while then cried and left. TJ got mad at me for forgetting the time, so we came home and he went to work. I was so upset, I just slept the rest of the day, which was ok, because I felt terrible that morning anyways. SO NO ANATOMY!

October 1

OK the real ANATOMY SCAN! We arrived at the Dr. Office at 2 and the appt was at 3. Yep we did that on purpose! We weren't missing it again! It was the most amazing thing. I can't believe how much the baby had changed in just 3 weeks! CRAZY. So, she checks all the vitals. Brain, chest, heart, legs, head, arms, feet, etc. Everything was normal and the baby measures exactly where it should be. Then she starts trying to find....well... the private parts. And, that took at DANG HOUR! The little baby had its legs crossed at the ankle and knees bent like he was saying "HAHA shouldn't missed the appt last week". The ultrasound lady was all but punching my stomach trying to get the baby to move around. And she whispers at the screen.... "Come on little baby, I already know your secret, but have to prove it to everyone else". So, she had already seen the privates, but wanted to be sure. Well, luckily she had to take a call, and she said you POKE YOUR STOMACH! She came back about 10 minutes later and the baby moved just a little bit! Finally, she got a picture, and she says she is 70 percent sure... ITS A BOY! And I'm am perfect with that. Because if you saw the picture, you would be sure too! So, its a boy, and I'm so excited we finally know!

And that's more info for now! NEXT: Baby Shower in Madill on November 8th. I want to be able to put things away and NOT be miserable... :)
